World of Darkness Role Playing Game

Ok, this looks seriously awesome. It's like D&D, but less complex, and it takes place in a setting like our own world but with gothic horror stylings.
There is apparently a basic part, ongoing cycles dealing with Werewolves, Mages, and Vampires, and then a few others like Promethians [dealing with a sort of Zombie/Frankenstein's Monster sort of thing] and Changeling that come out once in a while.
Personally, I'm planning on checking this out in more depth. If anyone else is interested in maybe trying out a game or something that would be cool.
Its in this wikipedia article under New World of Darkness.

Silkroad's better, because Silkroad's the best. It's an Massive Multi-player Online RPG. It's the most free form one I've played and it has many options. There's practically an infinite number of character combinations.
Download it then message one of these characters so I can help you out. Saturn: ReiGuzu Aege: s0smithinson Hercules: R_Guth Troy: Rei_Ray Odin: ShadowSpirit Alps: sosmithinson
Please, join. I'm lonely with no one to play with.

Oh, I see how it is! Just come into my thread, ignore my topic, and replace it with thine own topic!
:eyebrow: On the other hand, Silkroad looks cool. I'm in. Start a whole thread about it, and we can get a New Wasteland group together.
But seriously, is anyone interested at all in World of Darkness? It looks pretty cool to me, personally.

I've never gotten a chance to play any tabletop WoD games (or any TTRPG, for that matter), but I've played the computer games. Seeing as how the setting in the PC games is exactly the one in the TT ones, I must say I'm interested.
For those craving a little more detail, the World of Darkness is very similar to our own, but a little more sinister. Vampires and other things lurk in the darkness, however, they tend to do so covertly. The vampires, for instance, who were nearly hunted to extinction during the Crusades, have enacted a massive and careful Masquerade so that humans won't notice their existence. They now have a stranglehold on human politics and society. The modern-day World of Darkness is basically what you see outside your window, but with an extra helping of violence, drugs, and other unsavory norms. Oh, and Gothic architecture never really went out of style, so skyscrapers tend to have awesome buttresses and gargoyles! *Glee*
